Build responsive WordPress Vehicle Raffle/Competition Website
Worldwide
WordPress Vehicle Raffle/Competition Website — Project Brief Project Overview I am looking for an experienced WordPress + WooCommerce developer to build a vehicle raffle/competition website — similar to UK-based platforms such as RevComps.com, DreamCarGiveaways.co.uk, and 7DaysPerformance.co.uk. The site will allow users to purchase tickets for the chance to win vehicles (motorcycles, cars, jet skis, and similar). Each competition runs until either a set number of tickets is sold or a deadline is reached, at which point a winner is randomly drawn. Core Functionality Required Competition / Draw System Each vehicle listed on the site is its own competition with a set number of total tickets (e.g. 100, 200, 500) Users purchase one or more ticket(s) at a fixed price per ticket (e.g. €5, €10, €20) Each ticket purchase assigns the buyer a unique ticket number, sent via email confirmation Draw triggers automatically when all tickets are sold OR when a set deadline/date is reached (whichever comes first) Winner is selected via a verifiable random number generator Draw result is announced via the website and email to all participants Skill-Based Element (Legal Requirement) Before completing a ticket purchase, users must correctly answer a simple multiple-choice question (e.g. "How many wheels does a motorcycle have?") This is a legal requirement to classify the draw as a skill-based competition rather than a pure lottery — this must be built into the checkout flow Free Entry Route A free postal entry option must be available for each competition (standard legal requirement in prize competition law) This must be clearly displayed in the Terms & Conditions and on each competition page Tech Stack CMS: WordPress (latest version) eCommerce: WooCommerce Lottery Plugin: WooCommerce Lottery by wpgenie OR Competitions for WooCommerce — I am open to your recommendation based on experience Theme: Lottovibe (ThemeForest) — preferred starting point, open to alternatives if you have a better suggestion Page Builder: Elementor Pro Payment Gateway: Stripe (primary) + PayPal (secondary) Email: WooCommerce transactional emails + optional integration with Mailchimp or similar Pages & Structure Homepage — Hero section with featured/active competition, countdown timer, trust signals (past winners, total prizes given away) Competitions Page — Grid of all active draws showing vehicle photo, prize value, ticket price, tickets sold/remaining, countdown timer Single Competition Page — Full vehicle details, photo gallery, ticket price, quantity selector, skill question, add to cart How It Works Page — Simple 3–4 step explanation of the process Winners Page — Past winners with photo, prize won, draw date My Account / My Tickets — Logged-in user dashboard showing ticket numbers per competition FAQ Page Terms & Conditions / Privacy Policy Contact Page Design Direction Dark, high-energy aesthetic — think automotive/motorsport feel Bold typography, strong CTAs, urgency-driven UI (countdown timers, "X tickets remaining" indicators) Reference sites for design inspiration: RevComps.com, DreamCarGiveaways.co.uk Must be fully mobile responsive (majority of traffic will be mobile) Fast loading — Core Web Vitals optimized Key Features Checklist Ticket inventory counter (real-time "X of 100 tickets remaining") Countdown timer per competition (deadline date) Auto-draw trigger on sellout or deadline Random winner selection (verifiable/logged) Unique ticket number assigned per purchase + email confirmation Skill question at checkout (multiple choice, randomized from a pool) Free postal entry option displayed per competition User account dashboard with ticket history Admin panel to: create new competitions, set ticket price, set max tickets, set draw date, manually trigger draw, view all entrants Winner notification via email (automatic) Social share functionality on competition pages GDPR-compliant cookie notice + opt-in SSL ready What I Do NOT Need Casino or slots functionality Subscription/recurring payment model NFT or crypto integration Multi-vendor marketplace Deliverables Fully functional WordPress website installed on my hosting At least 1 live test competition set up end-to-end (demo vehicle, tickets, checkout, draw) Basic admin training / documentation (how to add new competitions, manage entries, trigger draws) All plugins licensed and activated Basic on-page SEO setup (meta titles, descriptions, sitemap) Who Should Apply Please only apply if you meet ALL of the following: ✅ You have built at least one WooCommerce lottery, raffle, or competition website previously — please include a live URL or screenshots in your proposal ✅ You are familiar with the WooCommerce Lottery plugin or Competitions for WooCommerce plugin specifically ✅ You have experience with Stripe integration on WooCommerce ✅ You understand the concept of skill-based competition law (UK/EU context) and have implemented a skill question or free entry route before ✅ Your proposal includes a rough project timeline with milestones ✅ You respond in English Proposals without a portfolio link or relevant example will not be considered.
