# Civil Engineer Needed – Commercial Retail Site Development (North Carolina) ## Project Overview We are seeking an experienced U.S.-licensed Civil Engineer to complete the civil engineering design and permitting package for a new commercial retail development in Hoke County, North Carolina. The project consists of an approximately 2.34-acre commercial site with an 8,800 SF retail building, parking lot, septic system, stormwater management area, and associated site improvements. The following work has already been completed and will be provided: * Boundary & Topographic Survey * Geotechnical Report * Septic Soil Evaluation / Septic Design Information * Preliminary Site Concept Plan * Existing Utility Information (if available) We are looking for a civil engineer who can complete the remaining engineering design and assist through permitting. --- ## Scope of Work The selected engineer shall provide: ### 1. Site Civil Engineering Design * Final grading plan * Site layout refinement * ADA-compliant parking and pedestrian access * Drive aisles and pavement design * Finished floor elevation recommendations * Spot elevations ### 2. Drainage & Stormwater Design * Stormwater management calculations * SCM design (if required) * Drainage analysis * Storm drainage pipe layout * Inlet and outlet structures * Erosion and sediment control design ### 3. Utility Design * Water service coordination * Sanitary sewer or septic utility coordination * Utility connection details * Utility profiles (if required) ### 4. Erosion Control * Erosion & Sedimentation Control Plans * Construction sequencing * Temporary erosion control measures * NCG01 requirements (if applicable) ### 5. Construction Documents Provide complete permit-ready drawings including: * Cover Sheet * General Notes * Existing Conditions Plan * Demolition Plan (if required) * Site Layout Plan * Grading Plan * Drainage Plan * Utility Plan * Erosion Control Plan * Site Details * Construction Details ### 6. Calculations Provide signed engineering calculations for: * Stormwater * Drainage * Pipe sizing * Hydraulic calculations * Earthwork quantities (if applicable) ### 7. Permitting Support * Respond to agency review comments * Revise plans as required until approval * Coordinate with local reviewing agencies * Provide sealed final plans --- ## Deliverables * AutoCAD (DWG) files * PDF plan set * Signed and sealed engineering drawings * Signed engineering calculations * Permit-ready package * Up to two rounds of revisions included --- ## Qualifications * Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in North Carolina (required) * Experience with commercial retail developments * Experience with Hoke County and NCDOT permitting preferred * Experience designing stormwater management systems * Strong knowledge of ADA requirements and North Carolina regulations --- ## Proposal Requirements Please include: 1.
