Summary

We're a fast-growing DTC brand scaling from 7 to 8 figures. Paid acquisition is our growth engine, and creative is the single biggest lever on performance. We're looking for a creative strategist who lives and breathes direct response. This is not a "make it look pretty" role. You'll own the creative strategy that drives net-new winners and keeps CAC in check as we scale spend. What you'll do Own the creative pipeline end to end: angle research → concepting → briefing → testing → iteration on winners Develop new marketing angles grounded in real customer psychology (awareness/sophistication stages, pain points, objections, desires) Write tight, scroll-stopping briefs and hooks for editors and designers — you direct the work, you don't just hand off vibes Translate winning concepts across formats and platforms (UGC, static, advertorial, VSL, native) Read the data: analyze hook rate, hold rate, CTR, CPA, and thumb-stop to decide what to scale, kill, and iterate Build and maintain a systematic testing framework so we're not guessing What we're looking for 2+ years specifically in DTC direct response creative on paid social (Meta non-negotiable; Taboola/native a strong plus) A track record of concepting ads that scaled real spend profitably — you can point to specific winners and explain why they won Fluency in DR fundamentals (hooks, angles, big idea, mechanism, offer) — familiarity with Schwartz, Halbert, or modern operators like Nick Theriot is a plus Strong copy instincts and the ability to brief editors clearly Comfortable owning numbers and making data-backed creative decisions Nice to have Experience in health/supplement, preparedness, or consumable verticals Hands-on with creative tools and AI-assisted production workflows To apply, include: Your single best-performing ad you've strategized (link or screenshot) and a 3–4 sentence breakdown of why it worked Your process for generating a new angle from scratch One angle you'd test for a brand like ours (pitch it in 2–3 sentences)
