Graphic Designer / Illustrator – Custom Pet Portrait Artwork

We are a small custom pet portrait business specializing in detailed, personalized artwork. We are looking for a talented artist in Photoshop to help create high-quality pet portraits. - Artist must be experienced in the following: - Adjust color and lighting of a photo to blend seamlessly with our template - Transform and augment subject’s head to be repositioned into portrait to appear anatomically correct - Add fur details when needed We already have pet portrait templates, workflows, and style references in place. This role is primarily focused on creating portraits that integrate seamlessly into our existing styles. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, be comfortable working from templates, and consistently deliver high quality and polished artwork. Our portraits are designed to capture each pet's unique personality while maintaining the cohesive and recognizable quality which we are known for. Compensation To start, we are offering a monthly retainer of $80–$100 USD, covering approximately 8–10 orders per month (equivalent to $10 USD per portrait). Additional portraits beyond the monthly allocation will be paid at $10 USD per portrait. We aim to grow both the workload and retainer over time and are open to discussing long-term opportunities as the business expands. Turnaround Expectations -24–48 hours for the initial portrait draft -24 hours for revisions and each feedback round (typically there is 1 feedback round with our current designer) Important Notes - Please include examples of pet portraits or similar portrait work with your application. -Selected candidates will complete 1 paid trial portrait at $5 USD / portrait to assess fit and consistency. -We are seeking human-created artwork. AI-generated artwork should not be used as the primary creative process. Minor AI-assisted editing or enhancement is acceptable, but the portrait itself should be designed and executed by the artist.
