Shopify Developer for Theme Debugging, Performance Optimization & Launch Support (No agencies)

We are looking for a Shopify developer who can step into the existing Wonder 1.7.1 theme, quickly assess the current implementation, and take ownership of the technical side of the project. The first step is to perform a focused audit of the theme structure, including Liquid templates, sections, snippets, JavaScript, CSS, installed apps, and third-party integrations. A major area of concern is the header, navigation, and search functionality, which currently behave inconsistently across the site. There are also rendering issues, layout inconsistencies, and theme conflicts that need to be identified and resolved. Beyond fixing visible issues, the goal is to ensure the storefront is stable, predictable, and maintainable. This includes reviewing custom theme modifications, eliminating duplicate or conflicting code, and resolving any draft-versus-live theme discrepancies. Performance is another important focus. The client wants to streamline the theme, reduce unnecessary Liquid processing, optimize assets, and minimize app-related overhead wherever possible. Once the technical issues have been addressed, the final phase involves comprehensive QA testing across devices and browsers. Critical customer journeys, including navigation, collections, product pages, cart functionality, and checkout handoff, must be thoroughly validated. The ultimate objective is to deliver a polished, high-performing, and launch-ready Shopify store that provides a consistent experience for customers and gives the team confidence to move forward with their long-awaited launch.
