Transition from Contractors to Employees

own a small New Jersey therapy/enrichment business in Morris County, NJ that has primarily used independent contractors. I'm preparing to hire approximately 2–5 W-2 employees and need an experienced HR consultant to make sure I'm fully set up and compliant. I need assistance with NJ employer requirements, payroll/onboarding procedures, employee classifications, offer letters, personnel files, required policies, an employee handbook, sick leave/PTO, workers' compensation, background-check procedures and transitioning from contractors to employees. I'm looking for a one-time employee-readiness project rather than an ongoing HR retainer, with the ability to hire hourly as needed going forward after set up.
