WORDPRESS DEVELOPER NEEDED — Business Website Build (Bricks Builder) Please include a brief note in your proposal describing your approach to this project and one thing in the brief you found particularly well-defined or that you'd approach differently. We are looking for an experienced WordPress developer with strong Bricks Builder skills to build a clean, modern website from a complete content and design brief. The site will be self-hosted on our own infrastructure. THE PROJECT This is a well-defined build. All copy is written and approved, brand colors are confirmed, page structure is documented, interaction and animation specs are written, SEO requirements are detailed, and visual direction is established with full HTML mockups. Your job is execution — we are not looking for someone to figure out our messaging or design direction. PAGES - Homepage (scroll-first, single long-scroll layout with multiple sections) - About - Services (Managed IT, Cybersecurity, Hosted VoIP, Additional Services) - Contact (interactive service checkboxes, Remote Support modal popup) ADDITIONAL STRUCTURE (built at launch, content added later) - Four individual service pages: /managed-it, /cybersecurity, /voip, /cloud-services - Blog CMS — native WordPress Posts, custom taxonomy, ACF fields, index page, single post template - Location custom post type and Bricks Builder template DESIGN DIRECTION - Clean, white-space-forward, professional services aesthetic - Reference site: practicetek.com - Brand colors: #FC6118 (orange), #727075 (gray), #2C2B2E (dark charcoal) - Typography: DM Serif Display (headlines), DM Sans (body) - Sticky navigation with two-state scroll transition - Scroll fade-in animations (full specs in brief — AOS or CSS/Intersection Observer) - Photo placeholders throughout — photography supplied by client with commercial license certificates - Mobile responsive — required DELIVERABLES - Fully built WordPress site handed off with admin credentials and full documentation - All pages and post type structures listed above - Contact form wired to email (Contact Form 7 or WPForms) - Remote Support modal popup functional on all pages - Technical SEO via Yoast SEO or Rank Math: meta titles and descriptions per page, correct H1/H2/H3 hierarchy, image alt text, clean URL structure, LocalBusiness and Service schema markup, XML sitemap, robots.txt confirmed, staging set to noindex - GA4 installed via Google Tag Manager - Google Search Console verified at handoff - PageSpeed score of 85+ mobile / 90+ desktop at handoff - SSL active on production domain (client manages own hosting) PLUGIN STACK Lean and well-chosen. Required: Bricks Builder, Yoast SEO or Rank Math, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), Custom Post Type UI, Google Tag Manager, Contact Form 7 or WPForms. No bloated multipurpose themes. No unnecessary plugins. Document all plugins at handoff. IMAGERY Photography sourced and licensed directly by the client. Developer will be provided with images and corresponding license certificates for use in the build. Will consider if the developer wants to provide licensed photography. We have a detailed content and design brief ready to go — approved copy, brand specs, full HTML mockups showing the complete design, page-by-page structure, animation specs, SEO requirements, and image licensing documentation. It will not be shared during the proposal stage. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a brief conversation first. The full brief and mockups are provided to the selected candidate upon agreement. IDEAL CANDIDATE - Demonstrable Bricks Builder portfolio (please include 2-3 examples) - Experience building professional services or SMB websites in WordPress - Comfortable with custom post types, ACF, and WordPress template hierarchy - Solid understanding of WordPress SEO via Yoast or Rank Math - Writes clean, lean code — no bloated themes or unnecessary plugins - Communicates clearly and meets deadlines SCOPE AND TIMELINE We are looking to move quickly.
