WordPress Developer + UX/Web Designer for Website Redesign, Custom Job Board, and Ongoing Support

We are looking for a capable WordPress developer with strong UX/web design skills to help modernize and maintain our website. This project is not just cosmetic. We need someone who can improve the visual design, clean up the site structure, strengthen the user experience, and properly rebuild or integrate the job board/recruiting workflow integration with Loxo. The ideal candidate can handle both front-end presentation and real development work. We need someone who can take ownership, communicate clearly, avoid unnecessary complexity, and deliver professional, maintainable work without excessive billing or vague scope creep. Primary Goals • Modernize the website with a clean, minimal, professional design suitable for a federal contracting company. • Replace outdated or weak website design patterns with a streamlined, credible, modern user experience. • Rework the job board / careers section so job listings are usable, searchable, organized, and easy for applicants and internal staff to manage instead of the static iframes integration we have with Loxo we want to go to a API integration. • Support WordPress content updates, team/bio page updates, business collateral, and related website changes as needed. • Improve site quality, maintainability, and security posture in line with a compliance-focused organization Preferred / Strong Plus • Experience moving or supporting WordPress hosting in U.S.-based environments and documenting technical changes clearly. • Ability to support light graphic design tasks such as web graphics, business cards, PowerPoint/letterhead templates, and image cleanup/replacement. • Ability to replace low-quality AI-generated imagery with professional, properly licensed, credible imagery that fits the company’s market. • U.S.-based and/or U.S. citizen required;
