eVTOL Engineer for PFV Ddevelopment

Aether Aeroworks is seeking an experienced eVTOL Engineer to assist in developing an innovative single-passenger Personal Flight Vehicle (PFV) concept. Our current design is an X8 coaxial multicopter configuration (4-arm, 8-motor platform) intended for personal recreational flight. We are looking for an engineer who can help transform our concept and preliminary specifications into a professional, buildable design in SolidWorks. Responsibilities: Convert conceptual designs and specifications into detailed SolidWorks CAD models Develop a manufacturable airframe and component layout Advise on structural design, weight reduction, and material selection Assist with propulsion system integration, battery placement, and center-of-gravity considerations Provide design recommendations for safety, redundancy, and maintainability Collaborate on iterative design improvements and prototype planning Preferred Qualifications: Experience with eVTOL, multicopters, drones, or unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) Proficiency in SolidWorks and aerospace CAD design Understanding of electric propulsion systems and structural analysis Experience taking aerospace concepts from ideation to prototype Familiarity with FAA ultralight and experimental aircraft considerations is a plus Project Type: Contract/Freelance (Potential for long-term collaboration) About Us: Aether Aeroworks is developing innovative personal flight solutions, beginning with a single-seat electric PFV platform and with plans for future expansion into larger personal air mobility systems.
