THE PROJECT We're bringing in an experienced subscription accountant for an initial 2-week paid audit project, with a strong possibility of transitioning into a long-term ongoing role for the right person. This is a real paid engagement — not a test. But it will also show us how you work, and it will show you how we work. WHAT YOU'LL DO Our subscription accounting data currently lives across multiple spreadsheets connected to Stripe and PayPal. We need someone to come in, audit the numbers, and deliver clean, reliable figures we can act on. Specifically, you will: - Reconcile our actual active subscriber count against payment records in Stripe and PayPal - Produce a clean breakdown of voluntary churn (customer-initiated cancellations) vs. involuntary churn (failed/expired payments) for the last 3 months - Identify and flag any discrepancies, duplicates, or anomalies in the data - Deliver a clean summary report with your findings and a brief methodology note DELIVERABLES - Reconciled subscriber count with source documentation - Voluntary vs. involuntary churn breakdown — last 3 months - Anomaly and discrepancy report - Brief methodology note explaining how you worked through it YOU'RE THE RIGHT FIT IF YOU: - Have 3+ years in accounting for subscription-based or SaaS businesses - Know Stripe and PayPal deeply — not just the basics - Understand the difference between voluntary and involuntary churn and can report them separately with confidence - Communicate clearly and quickly in English with a distributed team - Are available to start immediately Are based in Cyprus or working in CET/EET timezone (preferred, not required) BUDGET: €300–€500 flat fee for the 2-week project TIMELINE: Immediate start PATH FORWARD: This role has a clear path to a long-term engagement at €1,500–€2,000/month for the right person.
