## About the Role Buzznerd is looking for a Senior Support Engineer with strong WordPress and WooCommerce experience to help support, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve dealer websites and e-commerce platforms. This role is ideal for someone who can handle advanced technical support, communicate clearly with clients, work directly with developers, and help manage small website and e-commerce projects from request through completion. The right person is technical, organized, calm under pressure, and comfortable being the bridge between clients, support, project management, and development. ## Key Responsibilities ### Technical Support & Troubleshooting * Provide advanced support for WordPress and WooCommerce websites. * Troubleshoot plugin conflicts, theme issues, checkout problems, form issues, performance problems, and display bugs. * Investigate and resolve website errors, broken layouts, failed submissions, missing content, and admin-side problems. * Escalate complex development issues with clear documentation, screenshots, steps to reproduce, and expected outcomes. * Review and test fixes before handing them back to clients or internal teams. * Support website updates, content changes, product updates, and configuration requests. ### WordPress & WooCommerce Management * Manage WordPress admin settings, users, pages, menus, plugins, forms, redirects, and media. * Support WooCommerce products, categories, attributes, shipping settings, tax settings, payment settings, coupons, and order-related issues. * Assist with plugin updates, compatibility checks, and routine maintenance. * Help identify opportunities to improve site stability, usability, speed, and client workflows. * Maintain awareness of WordPress, WooCommerce, plugin, and security best practices. ### Client Communication * Communicate with clients in a clear, professional, and helpful manner. * Translate technical issues into simple language clients can understand. * Set realistic expectations on timelines, scope, and next steps. * Follow up consistently until issues are resolved. * Help reduce client frustration by being responsive, organized, and solution-oriented. ### Project Management Support * Assist with managing small-to-medium website, support, and WooCommerce-related projects. * Help gather requirements, define scope, organize tasks, and track progress. * Coordinate between clients, designers, developers, support staff, and account managers. * Monitor deadlines, blockers, dependencies, and open items. * Participate in project kickoff calls, status updates, QA reviews, and client handoffs when needed. * Help maintain clean documentation in project management and ticketing systems. ### QA & Process Improvement * Test website changes across desktop and mobile devices. * Review forms, checkout flows, inventory pages, navigation, search, and key conversion paths. * Identify recurring support issues and recommend process improvements. * Help create or improve internal documentation, support guides, and client-facing instructions. * Contribute to better support workflows, escalation processes, and quality standards. ## Required Experience * 4+ years of experience supporting WordPress websites. * Strong hands-on experience with WooCommerce. * Experience troubleshooting plugins, themes, forms, redirects, and website performance issues. * Familiarity with HTML, CSS, basic PHP, and browser developer tools. * Experience working in a ticketing system such as Freshdesk, Zendesk, Jira, Asana, ClickUp, or similar. * Ability to write clear internal notes, client updates, bug reports, and support documentation. * Strong client communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities without losing track of details. * Experience working with developers and translating client issues into actionable technical requests. ## Preferred Experience * Experience with Gravity Forms, WPForms, Elementor, Advanced Custom Fields, or similar WordPress tools. * Experience with WooCommerce payment gateways, shipping plugins, tax settings, and order workflows. * Familiarity with hosting environments, DNS, SSL, caching, CDN, backups, and staging sites. * Experience supporting dealership, inventory, parts, equipment, or automotive websites. * Basic understanding of SEO, analytics, redirects, and website accessibility. * Experience managing client-facing website projects or support retainers. * Familiarity with APIs, integrations, feeds, or third-party systems is a plus. ##
