Summary

This is a player-coach role. We are not looking for a meeting-heavy sales manager who only reviews dashboards. You must be able to improve team performance and step into live deals, coaching, and closing when needed, 100% action. You should lead by example from day one, not meeting and talking, but coaching. You will be expected to spot bad rep behavior, bad deals, and bad follow-up and fix them fast, hands-on. If your main skills are just meetings, CRM hygiene, forecasting, or sounding strategic, do not apply. You will be judged on better calls, better follow-up, better pipeline movement, and more closed revenue, not presentations, not process theater. Not looking for a passive advisor, not a process-for-process-sake role. More about the job: • Reporting line: founder. • Tools: Zoho CRM, Zoho Voice, Samu.ai, Loom, and ClickUp. Some advanced experience with Zoho is REQUIRED. • Lead mix: 100% inbound. • Sales motion: phone, video, in-person • Must-have background: high-ticket, small team, player-coach only. • Team: Manage 3-5. Currently, only one person is physically on-site with our demo pod in downtown SF; everyone else is remote. • Role type: Fractional / hands-on / player-coach • Deal size: Avg. $45k; typical range $30k-100k. • Sales cycle: Usually 25-45 days. • What you’ll actually do: call reviews, pipeline inspection, deal strategy, follow-up fixes, rep coaching, and jumping into stuck deals when needed. • Success in 90 days: improve close rate, lead-to-proposal rate, revenue per rep. • Hands-on level: roughly 80% coaching/management / 20% direct deal involvement. • Authority: can change scripts, process, follow-up standards, and accountability. • Environment: small team, high standards, low bureaucracy, little patience for fluff. • Not a fit for: meeting-centered managers, dashboard-only operators, process theater, “strategic” people who do not improve actual sales behavior. A few miscellaneous things we need help with: • Zoho CRM best practices. • Keeping the team focused on the highest leverage activities. • Closing deals that the team may not do when they are already possible. • Evaluate to call on Samu.ai. • Keep track of Key Leading Metrics. • Updating and polishing the knowledge base and processes.
