Expert AI Developer/SysAdmin Needed: Fix Claude AI Desktop & WordPress MCP Adapter Connection Error

Overview We are looking for an experienced freelancer with a strong background in AI integrations, specifically Claude Desktop and Model Context Protocol (MCP), to help us troubleshoot a connection error. We have installed the "Enable Abilities for MCP" plugin and the "MCP adapter" on a self-hosted WordPress site, but Claude Desktop is currently unable to communicate with the website. The Problem Despite completing the full setup—including updating the passwords/credentials in both the WordPress MCP connection settings and the claude_desktop_config.json file—Claude Desktop still cannot "see" or access the WordPress site. Scope of Work -Review our current claude_desktop_config.json file and WordPress MCP plugin configuration. -Diagnose why the Claude Desktop client is failing to establish a connection with the WordPress MCP server. -Successfully resolve the connection error so Claude can seamlessly access the WordPress environment. -Delivery Method: This task must be completed via a live troubleshooting session (Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams) where you will guide us or work with us via screen share to resolve the issue in real-time. What We Provide -Access to a dummy, self-hosted WordPress environment with full credentials for testing. -Coordinated live-call access to the machine where Claude Desktop is installed. Required Skills & Qualifications -Deep understanding of Anthropic's Model Context Protocol (MCP). -Experience configuring claude_desktop_config.json and troubleshooting local/remote MCP servers. -Solid understanding of WordPress environments, REST APIs, and authentication mechanisms. -Experience with node/python environments (depending on which MCP adapter bridge is used). -Excellent communication skills for a live, collaborative troubleshooting call.
