Flink Learning is submitting a dual-language (English and Kiswahili) educational app to the X-Prize for Global Literacy. We need someone who major responsibility will be to “translate” or convert 64 Phonics activities from English to Kiswahili. It is not a straight translation task as, for example, an activity focussing on the letter B exists in both languages, but the words (and therefore the accompanying pictures) must be “reauthored,” not simply translated. Ideally, the candidate must live in the Greater Boston (Massachusetts) area so I can train the candidate personally in the use of the Flink Learning activity authoring tool. The candidate must have experience teaching young children. You can see samples of the existing English activities by logging in on our web site (www.flinklearning.com) as a STUDENT: phonics demo (no password).

Summarizing literature of optimal learning and teaching practices for a 2 years old toddler and forward till about 16 years old. The principles of old philosophers like Aristotle must be reviewed, the desirable skills for living a balanced and prosperous life, the best life habits to develop, to the modern studies made on how to raise children. I am not interested into "fashion modern teaching methods" valued by the States but rather focused on fundamental learning for a optimal development that is going to lead to a wise, healthy and socially responsible and realized person. The summary must also point out the mistakes to avoid, the tools that are desirable to use and reasonable exemplary mile stones to set to be able to evaluate the learning progression. The summary should clearly indicate the desired end goals of learning and the steps to get there by slices of age. For instance, the desired habit "selecting good food" could have a step for a two years old that would be "learning and recognizing vegetables and fruits". The study must list the references that have been used. NOTE TO UPWORK STAFF: YOU HAVE REMOVED THIS MESSAGE ONCE ALLEGING IT WAS FOR AN ACADEMIC PAPER. YOU WERE WRONG. I AM A FATHER OF A TODDLER THAT WANTS TO KNOW MORE ABOUT WHAT CAN BE FOUND IN LITERATURE FOR OPTIMAL TEACHING. SO, LEAVE ME ALONE!
