Data analyst services might include:

• Synthesize a wide range of information and update and create user-friendly databases
  
• Restructure messy data into commonly used and legible extracts, thoroughly checking for accuracy 
  
• Support data analytics from internal and external sources and compare performance levels for trends 
  
• Create and compile documents and presentations to demonstrate data findings to other developers and departments 
  

Requirements to become a data analyst on Upwork:

• Must be over the age of 18 with an internet connection
  
• Experience is not required but is preferred
  

Preferred skills for data analyst freelancers:

• Bachelor's degree in data science or related field or equivalent work experience
  
• Background in data science and analysis 
  
• Experience with databases and collecting and presenting data 
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
  
• Ability to work individually and within a team
