Our mission is to build a strong women-at-work environment.
Our vision is to create a community for women and allies across all backgrounds, races and ages to support each other in realizing aspirations, fostering a feeling of belonging and furthering the goal of gender equality and women’s advancement in the workplace.
The Women's Summit is the culmination of our work as a group: an annual, all-day event where all the women of Upwork gather together to learn, share experiences, and celebrate achievements. It is meant to create a safe forum to have informative, thought-provoking discussions about challenges related to women’s success in business and society and share strategies and tools for success in growing our careers.

The Upwork Women’s Group has three areas of focus to enhance our members' experience:
Through strategic sharing of resources and special events like panel discussions and fireside chats, our career initiatives are designed to help career advancement and professional development.
By connecting members with volunteer opportunities, we strengthen our ties to our physical and virtual communities.
From spotlighting strong women inside and outside of Upwork during Women’s History Month to collaborative events with other UBCs like our Safety Month Campaign, we share resources with our members to help raise awareness, dispel myths, and improve cultural competency.
