Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations for a portfolio of U.S. clients. The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the month-end close process, reviewing the work of junior accountants, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, and providing guidance on complex accounting matters. This role serves as the central point of coordination between the accounting team and clients, ensuring deadlines are met, issues are resolved proactively, and client deliverables are completed with the highest level of quality 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡-𝐄𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞 Own and manage the month-end and year-end close process across multiple client engagements. Coordinate the month-end close workflow, assign priorities, and ensure all deadlines are met. Prepare and post adjusting journal entries, accruals, and other month-end adjustments as needed. Resolve accounting issues and reconciliation differences to ensure an accurate close. Ensure all month-end deliverables are completed accurately and on time. 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 Perform flux (variance) analysis. Resolve complex reconciliation issues across balance sheet accounts. Review long-term debt schedules. Review lease accounting. Review shareholder loan accounting. 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 Prepare preliminary financial statements. Prepare monthly financial statement packages. Review management reports before client delivery. 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients on day-to-day accounting matters. Lead client meetings related to the monthly close and financial reporting. Communicate accounting issues, recommendations, and action items clearly and professionally. Build strong client relationships by providing responsive, high-quality service 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 & 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 Review all bookkeeping completed by Junior Accountants. Review reconciliations and journal entries. Ensure supporting documentation is complete. Identify errors and coach staff. 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: 4+ years of accounting experience. Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge. QuickBooks Online required. Experience supporting U.S.-based businesses preferred. 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: Part-time, remote 3–4 hours overlap with U.S. Eastern Time.
