B2B Growth Advisor: Cold Outbound, Cold Calling & Paid Social (Advisory Role)

Description: We're an NJ-based IT services and AI solutions company launching a multi-channel growth engine targeting businesses in New York and New Jersey. Our team handles all execution. We're looking for an experienced growth expert in an advisory role to validate our strategy, tell us whether our campaigns are right or wrong, and guide us across three channels: cold email/LinkedIn outbound, cold calling, and social media marketing with paid ads. What you'll advise on: Cold outbound (email + LinkedIn): Review and validate our ICP and NY/NJ targeting before we build lists Audit our email and LinkedIn copy, sequences, and follow-up cadence Review technical setup: sending domains, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, warm-up, and our Apollo/Instantly.ai/La Growth Machine configuration Benchmark our open, reply, and positive-response rates against industry norms Cold calling: Advise on the overall approach: who to call, when, and how it fits alongside email/LinkedIn touches Help us build call scripts, objection handling, and voicemail strategy Guide us on caller setup (dialer tools, local numbers, call volume per rep) and compliance basics Define what good looks like: connect rates, conversation rates, meetings booked per 100 dials Social media & paid ads: Advise on which platforms make sense for B2B IT/AI services in the NY/NJ market (LinkedIn ads, Google, Meta) Review our ad creative, targeting, budgets, and landing pages before spend goes live Help us decide organic vs paid mix and how social supports the outbound motion (retargeting, warm-up, credibility) Set realistic CPL/CAC expectations so we know if our spend is working Ongoing: Weekly or bi-weekly review calls during the first 30-60 days across all active channels Diagnose underperformance: list, copy, script, offer, targeting, or deliverability Tell us which channel deserves more budget and which to pause Guide safe scaling once numbers prove out Requirements: 4+ years in B2B growth/demand generation covering outbound AND paid channels Hands-on cold outbound experience with Apollo, Instantly.ai, La Growth Machine (or equivalents like Smartlead, Expandi) Real cold calling experience: has built scripts and coached callers, not just theory Managed paid ad campaigns (LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, or Meta) for B2B services with verifiable results Experience selling B2B services (IT/MSP, agency, consulting), not ecommerce or B2C Verifiable metrics from past work: reply rates, meetings booked, CPL/CAC, call conversion rates Nice to have: Experience selling into healthcare, legal, financial services, or insurance US market experience, ideally East Coast Engagement: Advisory/consulting only. We execute, you review, correct, and guide Roughly 4-6 hours per week for the first month, tapering to a few hours per month after Hourly, with a defined review checklist per session To apply, please include: One outbound campaign and one paid ads campaign you advised on or ran, with actual metrics Your recommended cold calling approach for selling IT services to SMBs: when in the sequence should the call happen, and why?
