About the Role We're looking for an experienced Business Development & Sales Representative to become an extension of our team. This is not a scripted telemarketing position. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, learning innovative products, and representing an early-stage startup with professionalism and enthusiasm. We're looking for someone who is excited to learn our business, understand our product, and confidently represent ANKRid to veterinary clinics, hospitals, shelters, groomers, trainers, boarding facilities, and other animal care organizations. During onboarding, you'll work directly with me to learn our mission, product, live demo, messaging, common objections, and sales process. Once you're comfortable, you'll conduct outreach, schedule meetings, present our interactive product demo, answer common questions, build relationships with prospective providers, and help guide organizations through the early stages of becoming ANKRid partners. As ANKRid grows, you'll also help identify and initiate conversations with Practice Information Management System (PIMS) vendors to explore strategic integration opportunities that could make it easier for veterinary practices and other animal healthcare clinics to use ANKRid alongside the software they already rely on. We want someone who wants to become knowledgeable about our business—not simply read from a script. You'll have the opportunity to play an important role in helping shape how we introduce ANKRid to the animal healthcare industry. Responsibilities • Research and identify veterinary clinics, hospitals, shelters, groomers, trainers, boarding facilities, and other animal care organizations • Build and maintain high-quality prospect lists • Conduct outbound phone, email, and LinkedIn outreach • Schedule meetings with decision-makers • Learn the ANKRid platform and become comfortable demonstrating it • Conduct live product demonstrations for prospective providers • Build relationships with prospective customers • Identify, research, and initiate conversations with Practice Information Management System (PIMS) companies to explore strategic integration and partnership opportunities that could enable ANKRid to interface with their platforms • Answer common questions and handle common objections • Follow up with interested organizations and keep opportunities moving forward • Document customer feedback, objections, and feature requests • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity • Collaborate with the founder to continuously improve messaging, outreach, and provider onboarding Ideal Experience We're looking for someone with experience in one or more of the following: • Business Development • B2B SaaS Sales • Sales Development Representative (SDR) • Business Development Representative (BDR) • Healthcare, Veterinary, Medical, Dental, or Practice Management Software Sales (preferred but not required) • Cold Calling • Outbound Sales • Appointment Setting • CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce Excellent spoken and written English is required. What Success Looks Like During your first 30 days, success will include: • Learning the ANKRid platform, product demo, and sales process • Building a high-quality pipeline of prospective providers • Conducting consistent outbound outreach • Confidently presenting the ANKRid platform • Booking and conducting qualified product demonstrations • Building relationships with prospective providers • Helping refine our messaging based on real customer conversations • Becoming a trusted representative of the ANKRid brand Who You Are • You enjoy talking with people. • You're naturally curious and enjoy learning new products. • You're confident speaking with business owners and decision-makers. • You don't get discouraged by hearing "no." • You're organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently. • You communicate professionally and represent businesses with integrity. • Most importantly, you're excited about helping introduce an innovative solution to the veterinary industry. You'll work directly with the founder to learn the product, refine messaging based on real customer feedback, and play an important role in introducing ANKRid to providers across the United States. We're looking for someone who takes pride in representing innovative products professionally, builds strong relationships, and enjoys helping organizations discover new solutions. If this engagement is successful, there may be opportunities for additional work based on business needs and performance, but our immediate focus is finding someone who can help us successfully introduce ANKRid to providers.
