Biopharma News Research Coders Needed for Paid Blind Rating Test

We are conducting an academic research project on how biopharma information moves from scientific and regulatory sources into media coverage. We need careful independent coders with medical, life-science, clinical-research, regulatory, or biopharma knowledge. This is not stock picking, investment advice, or market prediction. Coders must remain blinded to stock prices and returns throughout every assignment. COMPENSATION AND STAGES Stage 1 — Paid qualification test: $25 per candidate - Review a rating manual and a blinded 10-case packet containing 21 source items. - Assign three separate ratings to every source: fundamental information value (F0-F5), attention/reach (A0-A5), and narrative change (N-2 to N+2). - Give a concise evidence-based rationale for every rating. - Preserve all CSV fields and return a completed CSV. - Expected effort: approximately 60-90 minutes after reading the instructions. - We expect to hire several candidates for this same independent paid test. Selection after Stage 1 - Stage 1 is a paid qualification task, not an unpaid sample. - Completing Stage 1 does NOT guarantee selection for later stages. - We expect to select up to two coders based on relevant background, accuracy, evidence quality, instruction compliance, blinding compliance, and agreement diagnostics. - Candidates not selected for follow-on work will still receive the agreed $25 after an acceptable Stage 1 submission. Stage 2 — Formal blind-rating pilot: $175 per selected coder - Available only to coders selected after Stage 1. - Rate a new, fuller set of 10 cases using complete source materials. - Work independently without seeing another coder's or an AI system's ratings. - Payment is contingent on opening and satisfactorily completing this separate milestone or follow-on contract. Stage 3 — Expanded historical coding: $500 per selected coder - Available only after satisfactory completion of Stage 2 and at the client's discretion. - Rate approximately 30 additional cases, including evidence rationales and required inclusion/exclusion or contamination flags. - Payment is contingent on opening and satisfactorily completing this separate milestone or follow-on contract. Maximum potential compensation - Stage 1 only: $25. - A coder selected for and successfully completing all three stages may receive up to $700 total: $25 + $175 + $500. - The $700 figure is a potential cumulative total, not a guaranteed award to every applicant or every Stage 1 participant. - Each later stage requires separate selection, scope confirmation, milestone/contract activation, and satisfactory delivery. Important proposal instruction Do not complete the rating test as part of your proposal. The packet will be provided only after a paid Stage 1 contract is opened. Preferred background - Medicine, pharmacy, life sciences, clinical research, regulatory affairs, epidemiology, biostatistics, biomedical writing, or biopharma research. - Ability to distinguish animal, Phase 1/2/3, endpoint, biomarker, regulatory designation, advisory committee, and formal approval evidence. - Strong English reading and concise evidence-based writing. - Careful compliance with blinding and file-format instructions. Stage 1 deliverable One completed CSV with 21 rated source rows, concise rationales, and confirmation that no post-event market information or other coders' answers were consulted. Please answer all screening questions in your proposal. Generic proposals that do not address the questions will not be shortlisted.
