Bookkeeper — Xero specialist

About the Role Trusted Renovations Group is looking for a hands-on Xero Bookkeeper who wants more than a routine bookkeeping role. This is a foundational finance role for a junior bookkeeper who wants to grow beyond basic bookkeeping. We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail, a learning mindset, and the ambition to develop into a senior finance professional over time. We are not looking for someone who has simply “used Xero before.” We need someone who has personally owned bookkeeping workflows inside Xero, including reconciliations, bank rules, chart of accounts, reporting, and month-end processes. If you are detail-oriented, coachable, and interested in growing into finance operations, reporting, and FP&A, this could become a long-term opportunity. What You'll Do -Manage day-to-day bookkeeping in Xero across multiple entities -Reconcile bank feeds, AP/AR, and card transactions weekly -Prepare month-end close packages and supporting schedules -Identify and flag discrepancies before they become larger issues -Gain exposure to financial reviews and gradually take on forecasting and reporting responsibilities Must-Haves -Hands-on Xero experience, not just familiarity -Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accurate reconciliations -Comfortable receiving feedback and redoing work until it meets the required standard -Genuine ambition to grow into a senior finance professional -Reliable, deadline-driven, and proactive communication Bonus Points -Multi-entity or multi-currency bookkeeping experience -Interest in FP&A or financial modeling -Experience with construction, trades, renovation, or home services accounting
