Bookkeeper

Bookkeeper / Financial Manager We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented bookkeeper and financial manager to join us on a part-time contractor basis. This is not a simple data-entry role — we need someone who can think strategically about our finances, keep us organized, and help us execute our Profit First system with consistency. Estimated time commitment: 8–12 hours per month, with potential to grow as the business scales. Key Responsibilities 1. QBO Cleanup & Monthly Reconciliation Reconcile all Chase accounts (checking, savings/MMA, credit cards) monthly Categorize and clean up transactions — separating business vs. personal charges Ensure accounts are current, accurate, and tax-ready at all times Flag and correct any miscategorized expenses 2. Profit First System Management Manage bi-monthly Profit First allocation rhythm across all five accounts Track and report CAPS (Current Allocation Percentages) vs. TAPs (Target Allocation Percentages) Monitor credit card payoff plan and flag milestone triggers (owner pay increases, etc.) Keep Profit First tracker updated with every allocation cycle 3. Financial Planning & Projections Build and maintain monthly and annual financial projections Help develop a 12-month owner’s pay trajectory as the business grows Identify OpEx reduction opportunities; target is 30% operating expenses by Dec 2026 Flag cash flow risks during low-revenue seasons 4. Program P&L Management Build and maintain P&L tracking for each camp/program (Nike Sports Camps, local training, etc.) Calculate program profitability using net JMSA revenue (after USSC platform fees and processing fees) Report on which programs are most and least profitable Support director compensation calculations (quarterly, based on net revenue) What We’re Looking For Required QBO ProAdvisor certified or equivalent QBO proficiency Demonstrated experience implementing or managing Profit First for a client Experience with service-based or seasonal small businesses Strong attention to detail and comfort working independently Clear, proactive communicator — you flag issues before they become problems Comfortable working as a 1099 independent contractor Strongly Preferred Profit First Professional (PFP) certification Experience with multi-location or multi-program businesses Familiarity with Stripe reconciliation and contractor payment workflows (Zelle, etc.) Las Vegas, NV based (preferred but not required — remote candidates welcome) Google Sheets proficiency for tracker and reporting work How to Apply To be considered, please answer the following in your proposal: 1.
