Bookkeeping & Accounting Expert Needed for Monthly Financial Reconciliation and Reports

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeping and Accounting Expert to support our small business with accurate monthly bookkeeping, financial reconciliation, and reporting. This is a remote, computer-based freelance role. *Scope of Work:* You will be responsible for managing our day-to-day bookkeeping tasks and ensuring our financial records are clean, organized, and up to date. This includes recording income and expenses, reconciling bank and credit card statements, categorizing transactions, and generating monthly financial reports such as Profit and Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow reports. You will also help track accounts payable and accounts receivable, and ensure all records match supporting documentation. *What We Expect:* The ideal candidate has proven experience with cloud accounting software and is comfortable working with business financial data. You should have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to meet monthly deadlines. Clear communication is important as we will review reports and financial summaries together through Upwork messages. *Required Skills and Experience:* Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Wave Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, reconciliations, and GAAP basics Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle financial data responsibly Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently If you have a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting and can deliver accurate, timely financial records, we would love to hear from you.
