About the Role QX Immigration is seeking experienced freelance Case Managers / Paralegals to provide immigration case management and paralegal support on a per-case or per-project independent contractor basis. This is a non-employee, independent contractor engagement, where you retain full discretion over how, when, and where you perform your work, subject only to agreed deliverables, deadlines, and professional standards. We are particularly seeking professionals with direct experience handling O-1B extraordinary ability petitions (artists, entertainers, and creative professionals). This is a long-term opportunity, and we are looking for contractors able to commit for a minimum of one year, with potential for ongoing engagement and increased responsibility over time. Key Responsibilities Depending on assignment scope, responsibilities may include: Conducting case intake reviews and organizing supporting documentation Preparing immigration forms and assembling filing-ready petition packages Drafting support letters, indices, and exhibit lists under attorney supervision Managing client communications related to document collection and procedural updates Maintaining accurate case tracking in internal systems Coordinating filing preparation and post-filing follow-up activities All deliverables, timelines, and expectations will be defined per individual case or project assignment. Compensation Structure (Per-Case Model) This role is structured on a flat-rate per case basis (not hourly). Starting rate: $750–$800 per case Performance-based progression: up to $1,100 per case Rate increases may be awarded based on: Case quality and accuracy Consistency and reliability Efficiency and turnaround time Approval outcomes (where applicable) Seniority and demonstrated expertise Additional Incentives Performance-based bonuses Google review bonuses Discretionary rewards tied to quality and responsiveness Professional Standards & Working Norms These expectations support operational consistency and do not limit your independent contractor status. Systems: Use designated platforms (ClickUp and Docketwise) for all case tracking and updates Responsiveness: Respond to case-related communications within one business day, unless otherwise agreed Availability: Provide advance notice if unavailable for more than 48 hours and ensure case continuity where possible Quality: Follow firm templates, checklists, and attorney direction; revise work promptly when needed Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality and use secure systems at all times Legal Scope: No legal advice may be provided; all work is performed under attorney supervision where required Qualifications Required Demonstrated experience in U.S. immigration case management or paralegal support Strong experience with O-1B petition preparation and/or extraordinary ability cases Familiarity with immigration forms, exhibit organization, and filing-ready petition assembly Strong written communication and client-facing professionalism Ability to manage deadlines independently across multiple cases Compliance with confidentiality and data security requirements Independent contractor status (responsible for own taxes, insurance, and business expenses) Preferred Experience with ClickUp, Docketwise, or similar case management systems Experience drafting support letters, indices, and legal-style documentation Exposure to AI tools or workflow automation in legal operations Strong track record of consistency in attorney-reviewed work environments How to Apply Interested contractors should submit: Current resume Brief summary of relevant immigration case management experience (especially O-1B cases) Availability Experience with case management platforms (ClickUp, Docketwise, etc.)
