Power BI & SQL Specialist for Automated Dashboard Development - Rental

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Power BI and SQL specialist to design and develop multiple interactive dashboards based on predefined business calculations and metrics. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data modeling, SQL database integration, and Power BI automation, with a focus on delivering clean, insightful, and scalable reporting solutions. Key Responsibilities: • Design and develop multiple Power BI dashboards tailored to business requirements and KPIs • Translate provided calculations and logic into accurate data models and visualizations • Connect Power BI to our SQL database and ensure efficient data extraction and transformation • Implement automated data refresh (weekly schedule) and ensure reliability of updates • Optimize dashboard performance and data queries for speed and scalability • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine dashboard functionality and usability • Provide documentation and guidance for ongoing maintenance Requirements: • Proven experience with Power BI (dashboard creation, DAX, data modeling) • Strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries and working with relational databases • Experience connecting Power BI to SQL databases (e.g., Azure SQL, SQL Server, or similar) • Knowledge of data transformation tools (Power Query, ETL processes) • Experience setting up scheduled/automated refresh in Power BI Service • Strong attention to detail and ability to translate business logic into technical solutions Nice to Have: • Experience with large datasets and performance optimization • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) • Previous experience working on similar reporting/BI projects Deliverables: • Multiple fully functional Power BI dashboards • SQL queries and/or views supporting the dashboards • Automated weekly refresh setup • Documentation of data sources, calculations, and dashboard usage Engagement Details: • Project-based (with potential for ongoing work) • Please include examples of previous Power BI dashboards and relevant SQL work • Indicate your approach to ensuring data accuracy and automation reliability How to Apply: Submit your proposal with: 1.
