Revit Architectural CD Drafter / BIM Coordinator – Miami Beach Multi-Family Project

Sky Werk is looking to hire an experienced Revit Architectural Drafter / BIM Coordinator to help develop a luxury multi-family apartment project in Miami Beach, Florida from Schematic Design through Construction Documents and permit submittal. The project is a high-end, approximately 20-unit luxury apartment complex. The drawings are currently in the Schematic Design phase, and the selected candidate will work closely with our internal design-build team and lead project designer to develop the architectural Revit model and drawing set into a coordinated, permit-ready Construction Document package. This role is not conceptual design. Design direction will be provided by Sky Werk’s lead project designer and internal architecture team. The primary focus is Revit production, architectural CD development, BIM coordination, drawing organization, Florida Building Code coordination, and preparing the set for permit submittal. The selected candidate will also assist with future City / permit comment responses once the project is submitted for review. Important Requirements: Must be highly proficient in Revit Must have your own active Revit account/license Strong knowledge of Florida Building Code is critical Experience developing architectural drawings from SD or DD through CDs is required Miami Beach project experience is a major plus Multi-family, hospitality, luxury residential, or high-end mixed-use experience is strongly preferred Must speak, write, and communicate in English fluently Must have reliable availability during standard Eastern Time working hours for meetings, coordination, and quick-turn revisions Must be available for weekly meetings with the lead project designer Must be available for consistent communication with the project team through Google Chat Responsibilities: Develop the architectural Revit model and drawing set from Schematic Design into Construction Documents Assist in preparing a coordinated, permit-ready architectural submittal set Draft and update architectural Construction Documents in Revit Build out and refine plans, elevations, sections, wall sections, enlarged plans, details, schedules, life safety/code sheets, and other CD components Assist with BIM coordination between Architectural, Structural, MEP, and Civil models Incorporate consultant drawings, markups, comments, and revisions into the architectural Revit model Review drawings for coordination issues, drafting accuracy, missing information, and code-related inconsistencies Maintain Revit model organization, families, views, schedules, sheets, worksets, and view templates Work within a full architectural CD set, including cover sheets, code sheets, life safety plans, floor plans, RCPs, roof plans, elevations, sections, wall sections, enlarged plans, schedules, details, and permit response revisions Coordinate architectural drawings with Structural, MEP, and Civil consultant drawings Work from PDF markups, Bluebeam comments, consultant redlines, and internal team markups Proactively identify drawing inconsistencies, missing information, coordination conflicts, and potential code issues before they become permit or construction problems Attend weekly coordination meetings with the lead project designer Be available for consistent communication with the project team through Google Chat Communicate clearly with the project team and respond quickly to feedback Support future City / permit comment responses after submittal Use Sky Werk’s existing permit comment tracker during the permitting phase to help manage City comments, update drawings accordingly, cloud and revise affected sheets, confirm completed responses, and maintain a clear revision log through each permitting cycle Required Qualifications: Strong proficiency in Revit is required Must have your own active Revit account/license Strong knowledge of Florida Building Code is critical Experience developing architectural drawings from Schematic Design or Design Development into Construction Documents Experience working on architectural Construction Documents for multi-family, residential, hospitality, mixed-use, or luxury projects Understanding of permit-ready architectural drawing sets Experience coordinating architectural drawings/models with Structural, MEP, and Civil consultants Experience working with consultant models, linked files, worksets, schedules, view templates, families, and sheet organization Ability to read and understand architectural and engineering drawings Ability to work from PDF markups, Bluebeam comments, consultant redlines, and City review comments Fluent English communication, both written and spoken Organized, detail-oriented, responsive, and able to meet deadlines Preferred Experience: Experience with Miami Beach projects is a major plus Experience with Florida permitting and City plan review comments Experience with luxury residential, boutique multi-family, hospitality, or high-end mixed-use projects Experience with multi-family life safety, egress, accessibility, fire-rated assemblies, unit layouts, common areas, stairs, corridors, shafts, and building envelope coordination Familiarity with Florida Accessibility Code, ADA, and Fair Housing accessibility requirements Experience coordinating directly with engineers and consultants Experience working with design-build teams Ability to assist with code-related drawing coordination Experience taking a project from SD/DD through permit submittal Project Type: Ongoing / project-based Expected Workload: Part-time to start, with potential for ongoing work depending on performance, availability, and project needs. Trial Task: We may begin with a paid trial task to evaluate Revit ability, drawing quality, communication, responsiveness, understanding of Construction Document development, and ability to work through markups and coordination items.
