Senior AI Automation Engineer – Complete Existing WordPress to Static HTML Migration System

We are looking for an experienced AI Automation Engineer or Full Stack Developer to help complete an existing WordPress-to-static HTML migration system that has already been partially built by our internal team. This is not a project starting from scratch. We already have a working foundation and custom workflow built around: Claude Code Visual Studio Code GitHub Cloudflare Static HTML websites WordPress websites Our lead developer has made significant progress but has limited availability, and we need someone capable of reviewing the existing system, understanding the architecture, and helping us complete the remaining functionality. The goal is to create a reliable workflow that allows a non-technical Virtual Assistant (VA) to migrate WordPress websites into static HTML websites with minimal technical knowledge. About Our Business We manage a portfolio of more than 100 websites. Our long-term objective is to move away from WordPress and host websites as lightweight static HTML sites. We are not looking to build a commercial SaaS platform or a perfect fully automated solution. Instead, we want a practical internal tool that can significantly reduce the time and effort required to migrate websites while still allowing VAs to perform quality control and minor manual adjustments. Current Workflow Our current process involves: Analysing an existing WordPress website. Extracting content, assets and page structures. Using Claude Code to assist with page conversion. Generating static HTML files. Managing code through GitHub. Deploying websites via Cloudflare. The system is already partially built and operational. However, there are still areas that require refinement, additional development, workflow improvements and documentation before it can be handed over to our team. What We Need Help With The successful candidate will: Review Existing System Understand the current architecture Review the existing codebase Understand the migration workflow Identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement Complete Remaining Development Potential areas may include: Improving content extraction Improving asset handling Improving page conversion workflows Improving HTML generation Improving reliability across different WordPress setups Improving error handling Improving processing speed Improving deployment workflows Simplify the Process for Virtual Assistants The end goal is not complete automation. Instead, we want: Clear workflows Easy-to-follow steps Reduced technical complexity Documentation that allows non-technical VAs to operate the system Documentation Create documentation covering: Installation Workflow steps Troubleshooting Quality control procedures Common issues and fixes Environment & Technologies Current stack includes: Claude Code Visual Studio Code GitHub Cloudflare WordPress Static HTML/CSS/JavaScript Experience with the following is highly desirable: AI-assisted development Claude Code Browser automation Playwright Puppeteer Python Node.js WordPress development Web scraping Static website generation GitHub Actions Cloudflare deployments Ideal Candidate You have experience with: Building automation tools AI-assisted workflows Claude Code or similar AI coding agents WordPress development Browser automation Web scraping Internal business tools Python and/or Node.js GitHub-based development workflows Bonus points if you have: Built website migration tools Built static site generators Worked with Cloudflare deployments Built AI-assisted content conversion systems Experience converting WordPress websites into static websites Project Outcome By the end of this project, we want: A stable migration workflow A system that can handle a wide variety of WordPress websites A process that can be operated by a non-technical VA Clear documentation Reduced manual work during migrations A practical solution that can be used to migrate our website portfolio over the coming months Perfection is not required. We understand that some manual review and corrections will always be necessary. The objective is to significantly reduce the amount of manual work involved.
