Subject Matter Expert — Mathematics

About the Position The Subject Matter Expert — Mathematics will own the end-to-end development of high-quality mathematics learning materials for Grades 1–5. This includes worksheets, lesson plans, assessments, video scripts, remedial content, and teacher support materials. The role requires someone who understands how young children develop mathematical thinking, can write with clarity and imagination for a primary audience, and takes deep pride in the accuracy and pedagogical quality of their work. You will be trained on our product framework and internal standards during onboarding; what you bring is the craft, the pedagogy, and the ownership. Key Responsibilities Design and develop mathematics worksheets, lesson plans, and assessments for Grades 1–5, covering primary concepts across the academic year Develop differentiated learning materials — including remedial content for students who need additional support and enrichment activities for advanced learners Write scripts and storyboards for short concept-introduction videos aimed at primary-age learners Own quality assurance for all assigned content — covering mathematical accuracy, pedagogical soundness, age-appropriate language, and curriculum alignment with NCF-SE 2023, NEP 2020, CBSE requirements and global standards. Incorporate feedback from pilot schools and teachers into systematic content revisions, and contribute to maintaining internal content standards and style guides Perform other duties as assigned that support the content and product development pipeline Required Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities Subject Matter and Pedagogical Expertise Strong mathematics competence at the primary level and a genuine interest in how young children learn mathematics — a Mathematics degree is not required Solid understanding of child-centred pedagogical approaches relevant to primary mathematics, with the ability to design materials that build understanding progressively Familiarity with NCF-SE 2023, NEP 2020, and the CBSE primary curriculum Content Development Experience (2–5 Years) Demonstrated experience designing curriculum materials, worksheets, lesson plans, or assessments for primary-age learners Ability to write clearly and engagingly for children aged 6–11, calibrating language and complexity to grade level High personal standard for accuracy and quality; self-driven to take end-to-end ownership of deliverables without close supervision Education Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, B.Ed., M.Ed., or a related field Preferred Classroom teaching experience at primary level (Grades 1–5) in a CBSE or a private schools Experience writing scripts for educational videos or e-learning content Familiarity with international primary mathematics frameworks such as Singapore Math, Cambridge Primary, or IB PYP
