Usability Research for Trading Platform

We are conducting a structured usability research study for a regulated online trading platform and are looking to hire Freelancers for remote, flexible work. The platform is built for users with established personal finance experience—people who actively manage investments, savings accounts, pension contributions, or similar financial products. To produce valid and meaningful research data, testers must genuinely reflect that user profile. This is straightforward side income with no fixed schedule required. We review applications quickly and aim to get the right candidates into their first assignment without delay. What You'll Be Doing: - Navigate the Platform: Explore the assigned trading platform as a genuine first-time user following a structured test protocol. - Onboarding & Evaluation: Complete onboarding and exploration tasks on a desktop computer, laptop, or tablet. - Document Experience: Document your honest first impressions and overall experience in detail using our structured UX feedback template. - Identify Friction: Identify and report usability issues, broken flows, confusing design elements, or unclear steps. - Submit Deliverables: Submit a comprehensive written report and/or screen-recorded session per assignment instructions. Ideal Candidate Profile: - Location: Must be currently living and working in one of our target markets (Europe, UK, Canada, or Australia). - You must be physically located in your country of residence during the testing period. - Financial Literacy: Has personal, hands-on experience managing investments, savings, pension contributions, or similar financial products. - Platform Ready: Comfortable navigating a full new-user registration flow on a live, regulated financial platform (this is the core onboarding experience being evaluated). Skills: - Strong written communication skills and high attention to detail.
