ART EDUCATION Beginning as an artist in schools in South London my work developed into writing, delivering and coordinating art projects for up to 40 schools with British Council Ethiopia and Thames Festival Trust London. This work has involved commissioning other artists, connecting schools with University of the Arts, London, supporting international school partnerships through art, and writing and delivering creative education training modules for teachers and students. It has included working with pre school students in South London, with teachers in refugee camp schools in Western Ethiopia and delivering projects in international schools in Addis Ababa. Projects have been celebrated with high level exhibitions in locations such as City Hall, London, British Council Ethiopia and The British Embassy, Addis Ababa. PHOTOGRAPHY AND PROJECT DOCUMENTATION Along with documenting the art projects and activities above I have documented British Council projects and programmes in Sub Saharan Africa including their arts projects (which I was leading) River of Hope and Rivers of the World, their learning through song project World Voice, and their education projects TeachingEnglish, School Connects and Connecting Classrooms. Documentation includes photography, long and short form interviews and case studies, and writing reports.
