My name is Drew Clark. No, my parents did not know I was going to enter an artistic field when I grew up. That being said, I find it slightly humorous that my first name reflects what I like to do, which is draw. Drawing is what steered me into design and animation, and it is what I find the most relaxing yet invigorating experience in the world. As Glen Keane once said, "The pencil seems to have nerve endings." What drives me in this field is learning new ways to express an idea. That is why I am enthusiastic about learning new software and methods of presentation. Each project should be approached as a different composition with emphasis put on one thing: reaching an audience. However, that audience does not want to be captivated by gimmicks or cheap tricks. They want to be sincerely addressed about something. That is what my life drawing class taught me. In everything, there is a vibe being portrayed. Animate or inanimate, you want your piece giving off the right "mood." No matter the medium (fine art, print, digital, film), I am always listening for the feeling and message the client wants to present. That emotional tug is what I aim for in every piece, and I will be happy to accomplish that in my future endeavors.

I am experienced in using Blender to model 3D printed parts and to make photorealistic product renderings. While I specialize in lighting/rendering, I am also more than proficient at modeling, rigging, animating, texturing/making materials, motion tracking, simulating smoke/fire/fluids, etc. I have an excellent track record with a 100% job success rate. People hire me to do straightforward 3D work, but they often also come to appreciate my advice and concerns about the projects overall. Besides being a 3D artist, I am a problem solver and I am detail-oriented, which are traits that you will appreciate having on your team.

Currently, I am an independent digital content creator serving clients in various fields and areas of media from social media, to litigation graphics and forensic analysis to screen print graphics for apparel. I've led a team of CG Generalists and visual content creators in producing interactive 3d media for training curriculum. I also provide graphics, forensic analysis and expert testimony in the litigation arena. Prior to my entry into litigation and forensic graphics, I worked in the screen print industry providing traditional and digital graphic design and illustration for large and small brands as well as collegiate and professional sports. My foundation is based on previous training from the arts of traditional media using drawing, painting, airbrushing and sculpting skills. I have experience in all aspects of my trade, including but not limited to: 2d and 3d illustration and graphics, 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, animation, motion capture, simulation, visual effects and color separations for screen printing. As an avid illustrator since my early childhood, I have spent my life endlessly reconstructing and recreating the world around me. This later lead me to evolve my craft into the world of digital illustration, which has opened new avenues of creativity and efficiency. I have been a freelance artist for the last several years and I have been tasked with constructing a wide range of projects spanning from full scale portraits, CD/Book illustrations, advertisement posters and company logos. I have been hired by professional firms to construct comic book covers and have also developed art assets for a number of mobile games. My strengths as an artist include the ability to draw a multitude of different styles. This makes it easy for me to either conform to previous works for smooth transitions and being able to work with a designer to get exactly the feel they are looking for.
