In 2010, following a medical diagnosis, I left the book publishing industry and turned my attention to building my freelance career. After more than five years serving as freelance editor, I began taking on a greater amount of writing work, culminating in my accepting a freelance role with a firm focused on helping clients improve their online images. My success in this role led to my earning a promotion to this company’s VIP division, where I continue to write biographies, articles, tweets, and other content for the firm’s clients. My writing and editing background also includes positions with newspapers, literary agencies, and publicity and marketing firms.
