Her grandfather, Angel Casabona, was one of the main characters in the documentary. Consequently, Chelsea spent her undergraduate years learning about history and politics while dabbling in videography. In 2023, Chelsea combined her love for video creation and learning about the world around her by pursuing her master’s in documentary journalism at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. She graduated with honors in August 2024. For her master’s project, Chelsea co-directed/produced/edited and shot her first short-documentary, METTLE. The film was accepted into the 2024 International Sport Film Festival.
