A short bit about myself. Software development ALONG with network and database design/development, network & systems engineering, and network, systems, and program administration. The development over the years comprised of backend creation, maintenance, and using/developing APIs; mostly for device setup/administration/and monitoring (with many things connected to networks *and* OS; CORE language being PERL). ALSO about 30-35% involved interacting with backend to do UI presentation mostly in web; but *some* mobile. Much of this was also considered as lead positions, with varying responsibilities, including project management, training, documentation, presentation and planning, and DevOps (Project Manager). I have worked in communications through the years starting with BBS's, to Bayou Internet, to Centurylink (Lucent) to AT&T. I have also worked with many in different facets of government (mostly concerning court and inmates), and private/corporate situations involving payroll, logistics, and medical. I do programming, network design, administration, and database engineering. The only reason I don't have any current certifications is economic.

I design, deploy, integrate, and optimize cybersecurity, APM, network, observability, private AI, and threat intelligence solutions for organizations that need practical results—not another collection of disconnected tools. As a Certified Ethical Hacker and experienced security and monitoring architect, I can take ownership of a project from initial discovery through architecture, implementation, integration, dashboards, documentation, knowledge transfer, and post-deployment optimization. My services include: • PRIVATE, ON-PREMISES AI Secure local AI using Ollama or LM Studio, custom business interfaces, document chat, company-specific prompts, and permission-aware RAG pipelines connected to approved file shares, SharePoint, cloud storage, databases, APIs, and internal knowledge sources. Your confidential information can remain inside your environment without being sent to public AI services. • SOLARWINDS ENGINEERING AND OBSERVABILITY Architecture, greenfield deployments, on-premises and SaaS migrations, upgrades, module configuration, SQL and polling-engine planning, discovery tuning, custom dashboards, reports, alerts, SWQL, APIs, automation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. I have supported large enterprise and public-sector monitoring environments serving thousands of systems and more than 90,000 users. • CYBERSECURITY TELEMETRY AND SIEM INTEGRATION Custom sensors, OpenTelemetry pipelines, syslog and HTTPS forwarding, endpoint and Windows Event monitoring, DNS and network-egress visibility, file activity, vulnerability awareness, anomaly detection, AI-assisted alert enrichment, and integrations with SolarWinds, Snowflake, and other security platforms. • SNOWFLAKE SECURITY ANALYTICS Secure ingestion pipelines, structured event tables and views, service-tier mapping, executive and CISO dashboards, risk and anomaly reporting, CVE visibility, sensor-health monitoring, business-impact analysis, and Cortex Analyst-ready data models for natural-language investigation. • THREAT HUNTING AND SECURITY ASSESSMENTS Proactive review of endpoint and network activity for indicators of compromise, persistence, unauthorized access, lateral movement, command-and-control activity, and possible data exfiltration. Deliverables include an executive summary, technical evidence, risk-ranked findings, remediation recommendations, and audit-readiness observations. • MALWARE ANALYSIS Controlled static and behavioral analysis of suspicious files, including hashes, strings, processes, file and registry changes, persistence, DNS and network activity, possible credential or data targeting, indicators of compromise, containment steps, and remediation guidance. • BRAND IMPERSONATION AND DOMAIN INVESTIGATION Evidence collection for suspected fraudulent or infringing websites, including screenshots, URLs, domain and WHOIS data, registrar and hosting details, IP and DNS infrastructure, SSL information, redirects, reputation findings, threat intelligence, abuse contacts, and reporting records. • LIVE ETHICAL-HACKING DEMONSTRATIONS Safe, controlled cybersecurity demonstrations for trade shows, webinars, marketing events, and customer briefings. Scenarios can include phishing, credential theft, ransomware behavior, exposed services, lateral movement, and data exfiltration—clearly connected to the value of your product or service. I have delivered monitoring, cybersecurity, and professional-services work for government agencies, defense environments, global enterprises, educational institutions, cloud providers, and mission-critical operations teams. Organizations associated with my experience include the United Nations, Boeing, the Federal Aviation Administration, General Microsystems, Bush High School in Seattle, and the University of Washington. Clients hire me when they need one senior technical resource who can understand the business objective, work across infrastructure and security teams, build the solution, explain the findings clearly, and leave behind a system their staff can operate. Send me your current challenge, monitoring architecture, security concern, or project goal, and I will help turn it into a practical, secure, and supportable solution.
