I am an Ignition 8.1 Gold Certified. Currently, I work as Senior SCADA Developer (acting as SCADA Team Leader) at Madkour Group (one of the biggest EPC in Egypt). My responsibilities are leading a team of three SCADA developers, designing, developing, and implementing SCADA systems, IIOT, MES and Enterprise applications (System Architecture, Database structure, Backend, UI/UX). We currently working on several projects. First, Toshka (New Valley) the largest smart irrigation project and the biggest Ignition project in Egypt and North Africa, consists of more than 200 water pump stations (Schneider M580 Redundant) -to be around 500 by 2030-, 800 pivots -to be integrated through APIs with BaseStation3-, Substations, MV and LV all monitored, controlled, and managed from one Ignition 8.1 central Gateway based on perspective. Also, the whole project has a custom-made GIS inside Ignition platform for asset management. We have two similar projects to Toshka, New Delta phase 1 and phase 2 (150 pumpstations Siemens S7- 1500R), and Future of Egypt phase 1 and phase 2 (291 pumpstations Siemens ET200SP-1512). We also have a mega smart lighting and dimming project for Cairo, Egypt Ringroad, consists of 1928 poles (each has 8 Dali drives), 187 WAGO RTU, and two Ignition central SCADA systems (for disaster recovery) connected to the WAGO RTUs through two ring fiber connections, and communicating with TIS through APIs to gather weather and CCTV information around the road. Regarding MES, we have a project in its early phases with X company (confidential) to build SCADA system and MES. The system is to build with Ignition and connect to MII (SAP) through XML formatted APIs, have MSSQL DB for historian and reports feature, and configure KepwareEx server to connect Ignition to the shopfloor PLC concentrator (S7-1500). In addition to my Ignition, Python, SQL, and CSS experience, I also have more than 5 years’ experience in Siemens industrial automation solutions (PLC, HMI, SCADA), as I have been working for Soulintec for Integrated Solutions (former Siemens solution partner). I have already completed many projects (process and factory automation) with international clients like ExxonMobil, Total, Shell and AirLiqiude. Mainly, in Oil, Gas and Energy sectors.
