Currently working as a freelance Art Director / Designer / Animator in Charlotte, NC. After graduating from Western Carolina University, he took a full time position at Charlotte, NC based Snap5. He began as a Junior Designer, after previously spending a summer there as an intern. Working closely with the Speed Channel and NASCAR, he quickly graduated to designing and animating show packages, as well as lending a hand in the Speed Channel’s network rebrand. From there he took a position as Senior Designer at Signal, also based in Charlotte, NC. He continued to develop his animation and design skills, working on show packages for ESPN, Fox, Speed Channel, and Voom Networks, as well as the opening title sequences for various independent films. In 2008, he moved to New York to continue his career, this time as a freelance designer/animator. After working with Wee Beastie several times as a freelancer, the chemistry was just right, and he was offered a full time position as Art Director. In 2014, he was brought to Los Angeles to assist with the opening of sister company Denizen, acting as Art Director for both companies. He continues his work in the television industry, working with clients such as ABC, Discovery Channel, TLC, National Geographic Channel, Food Network, Cooking Channel, Animal Planet, Geico, and Disney.

The past ten years in full-time freelance have really honed my expertise in Motion Graphics, where I've animated everything from movie bumpers to explainer videos to special FX, and everything in between. I've even taken on an adjunct teaching position at Chapman University in the graphic design department. I'm a strong generalist across 2D animation and 3D animation. I also have extensive 3D design and animation experience in Maya and Cinema4D for both games and pre-rendered quality assets. For the work I did in advertising, I was the full production coordinator. I did everything from design to modeling, animation, final rendering and compositing, etc. I was also the motion designer on staff. With my degree in Computer Animation and a minor in Digital Film, I learned not only the software, but I got a solid foundation in traditional arts. The many entertainment genres I've studied or worked in make me versatile enough to handle polished corporate work, story-driven animation, game-ready video game assets, or even live-action visual effects. I'm a great multimedia guy with a solid background in the principles of animation as it applies to motion design. I'm excited to tackle whatever project you have.
