Senior CFD / Fluid Dynamics Consultant

Good Ground Innovation is an independent invention company with three issued USPTO patents. We are preparing to execute a funded NSF SBIR Phase I computational fluid dynamics program built around a patented omnidirectional energy capture architecture. The invention exists. The patent is issued. Phase I is a rigorous characterization program, not an invention program. We need someone battle-tested who wants to work on something genuinely novel. Full scope is disclosed under NDA only. What you will do: Model fluid dynamic energy capture performance of a patented geometry across multiple fluid media and mounting configurations. Deliver defensible performance curves, structural specifications, and design data sufficient to support Phase II hardware fabrication. What we need: Expert level CFD with real solver decision-making experience, not just interface operation. Turbulence modeling, multiphase flow, fluid structure interaction, mesh generation, boundary condition setup, validation methodology, and post-processing. ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, or OpenFOAM at expert level. Engagement: 6 months, Phase II extension likely. NDA required before full scope disclosure. To proceed: Express interest and relevant experience.
