Project Overview FINDR is a vintage fashion marketplace that connects buyers and sellers of rare, special vintage pieces. To ensure our app and overall brand reflect the unique and timeless aesthetic of the vintage fashion world, we need a Graphic Designer to create Brand Design Guidelines. These guidelines will serve as the visual foundation for the app design, as well as all marketing and brand-related materials. Objectives Develop a Cohesive Brand Identity: Create a set of design guidelines that define FINDR’s aesthetic, ensuring a consistent visual experience across all touchpoints (app, website, social media, marketing materials). Brainstorming the Aesthetic: Collaborate on how FINDR’s unique vintage fashion vibe can be expressed through color palettes, typography, iconography, textures, and other design elements. Design Direction for App UI/UX: Prepare these guidelines to serve as a reference for the app UI/UX designer to use in the app redesign process. Scope of Work Brand Design Guidelines Creation Color Palette: Suggest and finalize a primary and secondary color scheme that aligns with FINDR's vintage fashion aesthetic. Include hex codes and recommendations for how the colors should be used across different platforms (e.g., app, website, social media). Typography: Recommend a set of fonts that are appropriate for the brand’s aesthetic (modern, vintage, clean, etc.), and establish font usage for headings, subheadings, body text, and any other key areas. Logo Usage: Provide guidelines on how to use the existing FINDR logo (size, spacing, clear space around the logo, color variations, etc.) across various platforms and materials. Iconography: Create a set of custom icons or suggest appropriate styles for app navigation, actions, and other UI elements that reflect the vintage aesthetic. Photography & Image Style: Suggest photo style guidelines (e.g., vintage-inspired photography, color treatment, subject matter) for showcasing products and lifestyle imagery across the app and marketing materials. Textures/Patterns: Develop any patterns, textures, or other visual elements that can be used to enhance the vintage feel, such as distressed textures, subtle gradients, or background elements. Design Inspiration and Moodboard: Create a moodboard or inspiration board that captures the vintage fashion vibe we want to communicate, using examples from fashion, photography, or other brands. Brand Guidelines Document Prepare a Brand Design Guidelines document that includes all the finalized elements (colors, typography, iconography, logo usage, photography style, etc.), along with how and where to apply each design element. The document should be easily shareable and comprehensive for internal use and future design work. Collaborative Brainstorming Sessions Conduct an initial brainstorming session with the client (FINDR) to understand the vision for the brand aesthetic and gather input on desired styles, colors, and themes. We currently have 2 clients that are in need of approximately 8-12 shorts per month. This initial project will be a test project of 3 shorts (max. 1 minute long). In a few months, long-form videos will be added to the scope of work.
