Hello! I'm Rebecca, an illustrator from the Pacific Northwest with over 9 years of experience in design and illustration. I have worked on several projects including illustrating 2 New York Times Best Sellers. Some of the clients I have worked with include Microsoft Research, Purple, American Highway, Daily Stoic, ServiceScape, Ghost Town Living, Dynatron Software, and TedX. I take a “listen first” approach to my work, centering my focus on the core stories and vision of the experts first and finding a way to visually communicate that to your customers. I am an illustrator and graphic designer looking to work with people who want to bring their creative ideas to life. All my work is entirely original and created by me. My process for books is to start with initial character design for all repeating characters, then once a style is chosen, I create a dummy book of rough sketches. I'll go back and forth with you until the dummy book is what you're envisioning, then move on to the final illustrations. Besides the illustrations, I do the other steps in children's book creation, including the text layout and setting up final files for print at the printing house of your choosing (i.e. Amazon, Ingram Sparks, Lulu etc.) Outside of children's book illustration, I do a variety of graphic design work, especially work centered around original vector illustrations, including logos, signs, posters, infographics, presentations etc. I worked as a graphic designer for Maximum Exposure Wraps, where my job was designing wraps and decals for vehicles, so I have a solid grasp on creating unique work for unique places. I graduated from the University of Idaho with a major in Art and Design with an emphasizes in Graphic Design and Illustration in 2020. While at college, I worked for the University's newspaper, The Argonaut, where I create vector graphics on demand with a one-to-two-day turnaround for articles. I’m a Photoshop retoucher specializing in commercial, beauty, and editorial imagery. I focus on producing clean, natural, production-ready images for campaigns, brands, and professional photography workflows. My work is centered around maintaining realism while enhancing clarity, tone, and detail, especially across multi-image sets where consistency is critical. Typical retouching work includes skin refinement with preserved texture, color correction and grading, reflection and background cleanup, and detailed image correction for polished final output. I approach retouching from a production standpoint, ensuring images are cohesive and ready for commercial use across digital and print platforms.

His works has spanned multiple continents and projects with 60+ published works under his belt, Ethan focuses on an emphasis of heartfelt life and whimsy. Married with two wonderful sugar bugs, five Guinea pigs, ten squirrels, and a teeny tiny mouse. Ethan spends most of his days painting, enjoying the beautiful outdoors, and searching for the ever-elusive desert gnomes.”
