My process for books is to start with initial character design for all repeating characters, then once a style is chosen, I create a dummy book of rough sketches. I'll go back and forth with you until the dummy book is what you're envisioning, then move on to the final illustrations. Besides the illustrations, I do the other steps in children's book creation, including the text layout and setting up final files for print at the printing house of your choosing (i.e. Amazon, Ingram Sparks, Lulu etc.) Outside of children's book illustration, I do a variety of graphic design work, especially work centered around original vector illustrations, including logos, signs, posters, infographics, presentations etc. I worked as a graphic designer for Maximum Exposure Wraps, where my job was designing wraps and decals for vehicles, so I have a solid grasp on creating unique work for unique places. I graduated from the University of Idaho with a major in Art and Design with an emphasizes in Graphic Design and Illustration in 2020. While at college, I worked for the University's newspaper, The Argonaut, where I create vector graphics on demand with a one-to-two-day turnaround for articles.
