Most B2B LinkedIn advertisers hide behind vague ‘success’ metrics. (i.e. trust, awareness, # of impressions, # of emails). Most LinkedIn Ads 'straegies' fall into 1 big trap. And it’s why most don’t get inbound that’s qualified nor with intent to buy. I call them Generalist Promotion Ads. The conventional approach to LinkedIn ads fails in 2 ways: 1. Generalist messaging Vague benefits. Broad outcomes. Feature talk. Language any competitor could use. "Increase pipeline efficiency" "Drive predictable growth" "Align sales and marketing" "Make better decisions with data" This kind of messaging does one thing well. It keeps options open in the buyer's mind. They think: "I could get this anywhere." 2. A low-information, promotional ad format Most LinkedIn ads are built as image ads, short headlines, or skim-level videos. That format can't explain a real problem. It can't reframe how buyers think about what's causing their symptoms. And it can't hold attention long enough to do either. So what happens? A complex idea gets compressed into a few generic words. This is why I do Niche Content Boosting. A sub-category of LinkedIn Ads. Here’s what it looks like: 1) Niche - Define the niche problem and solution Start by identifying the category you're currently in (e.g., Franchise Marketing). Then, pinpoint what's broken about it (e.g., *Fragmented* Franchise Marketing). Finally, define your new sub-category - the right approach (e.g., *Unified* Franchise Marketing). This is how prospects finally understand why you're different and why they need you. 2) Content - Make your solution feel like the only path forward Create Niche Problem Posts on LinkedIn that show: - why the conventional approach they're using inevitably fails - how it creates their recurring pains - why there's only one path forward - your sub-category, your approach Each post leads to a Niche Offer Page that connects their problem to your offered solution. And in some cases, using a Conversation Magnet (an offer that's impossible to refuse, that equally gets a conversation started with the prospect). 3) Boosting - Boost it to the niche audience Use Thought Leader Ads (minimum $700/month) to close the LinkedIn Organic Reach Gap.
