My work included monitoring-platform migrations, tenant-specific templates and policies, Grafana dashboards, ticketing integration, reporting, access control, training, and ongoing escalation support. For a large ISP/WISP, I took over a Zabbix environment that had become barely operational because of excessive discovery, items, and triggers. After redesigning templates and LLD, tuning the platform, improving trigger policies, and addressing database scalability, the system became operational again and has since grown from around 850 to more than 2,000 hosts, primarily MikroTik and Ubiquiti infrastructure, radios, and CPEs. My ISP/WISP work also includes wireless and network-specific monitoring such as BGP peers, link and backhaul utilization, latency and packet quality, signal/RSSI metrics, sector health, topology-aware dependencies, and logical service availability. More than standard templates When standard monitoring is not enough, I build what is required using SNMP, APIs, scripts, application data, and custom Zabbix logic. This includes reverse-engineering undocumented SNMP data, collecting metrics through vendor cloud APIs, creating application-level service checks, and designing monitoring around real infrastructure relationships rather than simply generating alerts for every device state. Wazuh SIEM / Security Monitoring I also deploy and operate Wazuh SIEM/XDR for servers, firewalls, infrastructure, and application monitoring. My hands-on work includes custom Wazuh decoders and rules, File Integrity Monitoring, Security Configuration Assessment / CIS-aligned checks, vulnerability detection and remediation, authentication/firewall/server/application-log monitoring, alert investigation, threat hunting, and security hardening based on observed events.
