Junior Software Engineer

We are hiring 3 Technical Interview Engineers to support software engineering interviews worldwide. Start Date: Immediately Location: Fully Remote Schedule: Flexible hours, around 20 hours per week preferred Duration: More than 6 months Hourly Rate: $10 to $50 per hour Our technology company, Old Nelson Food, is expanding our Technical Interview Engineer team. This role is ideal for experienced Software Engineers who enjoy problem solving, communication, and evaluating technical talent. Responsibilities: * Conduct live technical interviews with software engineering candidates * Evaluate coding fundamentals, algorithms, data structures, and problem solving skills * Assess candidates’ communication, reasoning, and technical explanation ability * Provide clear, structured technical feedback after each interview * Maintain a professional and positive candidate experience * Collaborate with our interview operations team * Follow interview guidelines and scoring rubrics Requirements: * 3+ years of professional software engineering or development experience * Previous technical interviewing experience is required * Strong understanding of coding fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms * Native level or near native English communication skills, preferably C2 level * Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills * Reliable internet connection, webcam, and microphone * Must use your own Upwork profile and verified identity Nice to Have: * Experience conducting live coding interviews * Experience with platforms such as HackerRank, CoderPad, CodeSignal, LeetCode, or similar tools * Experience interviewing backend, frontend, full stack, or data engineering candidates * Prior experience as a hiring manager, team lead, mentor, or technical evaluator Please answer the screening questions carefully when applying.
