About me: I started music at the age of 4, influenced by my parents. My father was a pianist and my mother a percussionist, who believed their child should grow up surrounded by music. I spent four years in a children’s music program where I learned the fundamentals, though I don’t remember its name now. At 8, I chose the violin as my first official instrument. Due to personal reasons, I had to sell it at 10 when I moved to another country. Just before high school, I bought an old piano and began teaching myself. In high school, I was required to study two additional instruments alongside piano, so I chose bağlama and returned to the violin.
