My CFO role with an NGO involved audits from both our own external auditors as well as from donors like Unicef. I had 15+ audits to navigate in 5 years. All received a clean bill of health. I also reduced the time it took to complete our external audit from 15 months to 2 months during my time at the organisation. * Financial analysis / excel modelling - organisations often have to analyse financial problems to work out the best course of action for them. I recently built an excel model for a school to allow them to consider various pricing mechanisms to determine which option would maximise their financial position whilst being acceptable to parents. The model allowed them to analyse dozens of scenarios in minutes. * Mentoring - helping non finance people understand finance is a passion. A recent moment of pride was when a small business founder told me that her monthly finance meeting was now her favourite! I'm also an experienced financial / excel modeller and financial due diligence practitioner. I spent 7 years with KPMG working on a variety of transactions including IPOs, corporate acquisitions and disposals, and refinancings. Clients included banks, corporates, private equity, and public sector across a variety of industry sectors.
