AWARD-WINNING DESIGNER I am an award-winning graphic designer, illustrator, report WIZARD and lettering artist with a colorful, playful, and sophisticated style. My work is original and follows the traditional methods of sketching, research, ideation, and creation. My design is also built upon strong fundamentals learned from my BFA in Graphic design and my 15+ years of job experience. WHY HIRE ME? Because you are guaranteed thoughtful artwork that supports your vision and goals. Design isn't just supposed to "look good," it should communicate a message to your clients when you aren't there to personally speak about your work. It should make a personal connection that your clients will remember, and that is what makes you stand out from the crowd. MY EXPERIENCE I've worked with notable clients including the City of Portland's Bureau of Transportation, Envision Healthcare, Kneaders, Intermountain Healthcare, Wildworks (Animal Jam), Barrick Gold, Salk Lake City HR, Utah Transit Authority (UTA), Parent's Empowered, BIKETOWN: Portland's Bikeshare, Salt Lake County Library System and many others. I've had the experience of working in several job environments including an ad agency, several government bureaus, a gaming company, university, and a start-up company. With this experience I have learned how to work with different clients, teams, project scopes and how to create a design that is meaningful and well-suited to each deliverable. MY PASSION My passion for design crosses multiple art disciplines in print and digital media. Whether it's an annual report, infographic, presentation, digital banner, or hand-lettered project, I am open-minded and willing to think outside the box and explore big ideas for the best outcomes. MY GUARANTEE I bring my best to every project and will deliver above and beyond your expectations. I will make sure you are happy with the end result. TESTIMONIAL "Sarah is an exceptionally talented designer and illustrator. To boot, her calligraphy work is some of the most beautiful you will ever see. I had the pleasure of working with Sarah at R&R Partners SLC in Salt Lake City. Sarah's breadth of specialties/skill set is rare. She is extremely intuitive and is able to understand what her clients really want to see in their creative even before they do. She is wonderful with clients and communicates clearly at all stages of art execution with them. She is also a hardcore team player who does whatever needs to be done to meet deadlines and truly cares about the end result of any creative is a part of. Sarah is absolutely wonderful to work with and any organization would be lucky to have her on their team." -Kari (Ross) Taylor, Account Supervisor at MRM // McCann AWARDS American Advertising Federation (AAF) - ADDY Awards, Silver Addy | DUI Staycation Outdoor, 2017 American Advertising Federation (AAF) - ADDY Awards, Silver Addy | Days of '47 Ribs & Rodeo Logo, 2016 American Advertising Federation (AAF) - ADDY Awards, Gold Addy | DUI Jail Cell Bathroom Wrap, 2016 American Advertising Federation (AAF) - ADDY Awards, Silver Addy | DUI St. Patrick's Day Experiential, 2016 American Advertising Federation (AAF) - ADDY Awards, Silver Addy | Days of 47' Rodeo Campaign, 2016 Salt Lake County, Communication Team Project Leadership, 2011 National Extension Association of Family & Consumer Sciences, National Newsletter Award, 2009 National Association of County Agricultural Agents, Regional Newsletter Communication Award, 2007

I make things people can actually hold and put on a wall: illustrated covers and cards, logos and full brand systems, event flyers and banners, posters and signage. Most of it starts as a pencil sketch on real paper, and all of it is built to go to press without surprises. I've been doing this since 2019 for small businesses, independent authors, nonprofits, and a few enterprise clients, and I handle the whole thing myself, from the first rough sketch to coordinating the print run. My work is drawn and built by hand, not auto-traced or generated, which is usually why people come to me in the first place. They want original art with an actual person behind it. Where I spend most of my time: Illustration is the heart of it. I work in graphite and colored pencil as much as Procreate, Photoshop, and Illustrator: character work, nature and landscape scenes, greeting cards, and big story-packed compositions. I also do book covers built to Amazon KDP spec, full wraparound with front, back, and spine. I've produced commercial work at volume too, including 20+ pieces for Roman Atwood's Smile More brand. Brand identity is the other half. I build full systems from zero: logo, colors, type, business cards, collateral. I work it out through research, hand sketches, and real revision rounds, and I coordinate the printing so it doesn't fall apart at the vendor. Prater Landscaping is a good example: logo, letterhead, business cards, tri-fold brochure, yard signs, and vehicle magnets, all coordinated and shipped. On the print side, I do event flyers, tickets, bulletin inserts, retractable banners, yard signs, brochures, and posters. Everything ships CMYK at 150dpi minimum with proper bleed and crop marks, press-ready, and I know how the material behaves, whether it's corrugated plastic, vinyl, or coated poster stock. I designed the Women's Christmas Dinner series for Epiphany Lutheran Church three years running, with a fresh look each year that still felt like the same event. I also build WooCommerce stores and do UX work in Figma. I previously set up an enterprise platform handling $208,445 GMV across 560 purchase orders for a Fortune 500-scale beverage distributor. If you want a designer who draws by hand, delivers files that print right the first time, and stays with the project through production, I'd love to hear what you're working on.
