Here to help take your script or idea to the next level! With a decade’s worth of experience as a script reader for companies such as The Black List, Andrew Lauren Productions, The Donners’ Company, Coverfly, Shore Scripts, and many more, I bring extensive knowledge of scriptwriting to any project. Working in development has allowed me to understand what makes a project stand out and how to get it to the point of selling. Whether that be editing your project, providing feedback, or adding my own writing to your idea, I will be happy to be a collaborative partner and add complete professionalism from start to finish. Having spent a long period of my career in development, I have shifted my focus more toward my own writing. This has allowed me to see tremendous success in my own projects, with my psychological thriller, THRESHOLD, ranking in the top lists on The Black List for the genre. It has received glowing reviews, calling it “hard to put down,” “leaves us on the edge of our seats,” and one reader stated that “Because this script is so well written, it feels as if it could be a strong calling card for the writer.” Outside of my own writing, I have also helped numerous clients ghostwrite and punch up their scripts. This work has spanned all different genres and mediums, from noir to comedy to thrillers and dramas, including work in TV, Film, Podcasts, and YouTube. I am a highly adaptable writer and have the right experience to make any project stand out. Feel free to reach out anytime with questions about rate or turnaround times. Thanks for reading, and I hope to work together soon!

Most corporate podcasts fail because of poor audio, shaky hosting, or inconsistent editing. I eliminate those hurdles by providing a professional, turnkey production service for businesses that need high-end results without hiring a full in-house media team. With over 20 years of experience in the Adobe Creative Suite and a studio centered on the Sony FX30 and Shure SM7B, I deliver broadcast-quality content that builds brand authority. What I provide: - Professional Hosting: I serve as your on-camera podcast host, webinar host, or spokesperson, ensuring your brand voice is polished and engaging. - Full Production: I handle the technical setup, recording, and multi-track audio engineering. - High-End Video: Using the Sony FX30 and professional lighting, I produce 4K video podcasts and webinar content that look like network broadcasts. - Post-Production: Expert editing in Premiere Pro and Audition. Technical Setup: - Camera: Sony FX30 (4K Cinema Line) - Audio: Shure SM7B into Rodecaster Duo - Software: 20+ years in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, Audition, Photoshop) - Environment: Dedicated home studio with professional acoustic treatment and lighting. I write documentary-style YouTube scripts for channels covering AI, emerging technology, science, and business/finance the kind of content where a complex idea has to become a story a viewer can't stop watching. Clients hire me when their current scripts explain the topic but don't hold attention. I fix that by building every script around one question: what makes someone stay past the first 30 seconds, and what keeps them through the last one? I edit books for a living: developmental editing, line editing, copy editing, and ghostwriting, across fiction, memoir, and nonfiction. Twenty-five years in, Top Rated with 100% Job Success, and a traditionally published memoirist. My career began under the mentorship of Frank E. Taylor, a former chief editor at McGraw Hill. Over his career Frank edited some of the biggest names of the twentieth century, George Orwell and Ralph Ellison among them. He taught me to read a manuscript from an acquiring editor's point of view: does it deliver on its promise, hold the reader, earn its ending? I've applied that lens to every book since. Developmental editing is the deep work: structure, pacing, character, voice, what's missing, what's not earning its place. You get an editorial letter, margin comments, and a revision roadmap that tells you where to start. Line editing happens at the sentence level. I'll wake up the drowsy passages and tune the ones singing off-key, all while keeping your voice intact. Copy editing is the final polish: grammar, syntax, consistency, and continuity, tracked on a style sheet, the details that make a manuscript ready for publication. Ghostwriting is confidential and collaborative. I've ghostwritten a published trade nonfiction title and worked behind the scenes with writers across genres. Your voice, your book. I do the heavy lifting. If your draft was AI-assisted and reads like it was written by a very confident robot, I can fix that too. I've built a working method for finding algorithmic rhythms in prose and rewriting them into a voice only a human could own. Some of my clients write technical books. I've edited geologists, neuroscientists, attorneys, and psychologists, and on that work your terminology survives the edit intact while the reading around it gets cleaner. My own first book, In My Father's Arms (University of Wisconsin Press), was praised by Pulitzer Prize winner Annie Dillard and by Edmund White, and the Oxford American named it one of the best Southern books. A recent Upwork client: "It is obvious I have found a master writer who is also versant in the publication world. The few writers I have hired through UpWork have been a mixed bag, but mostly disappointing. You are a stark exception." If you'd like to see how I work before committing, send a few pages and I'll do a short sample edit so you can judge the fit on your own manuscript. I'm a member of the Authors Guild, which vets for professional publishing credentials, and the Editorial Freelancers Association. If we work together, I'll stay in touch with you throughout the process. Send me a message and tell me what you're working on.
