This experience includes typesetting for a large publishing company for over thirteen years as a senior member of the composition team. During that time, I typeset numerous book interiors for fiction, non-fiction, Bibles and Study Bibles. I also have experience typesetting financials, marketing products, newsletters and catalogs. In 2018, I transitioned to full-time freelance typesetting/design. I have extensive experience using Adobe InDesign and I'm very well-versed in creating and analyzing design specifications and layouts. My files use all of the automation features InDesign offers, resulting in consistently accurate, professionally designed and typeset files. I prefer to work on a fixed-price basis. My specialties include book interiors and long documents for print or reflowable ebook products. I can convert, format, and layout your book as an eBook or print edition. I use html/css coding to create all eBooks. I don't use any auto conversion software. I have formatted many books for Amazon/Kindle (kpf file), Apple/iBooks, Barnes & Noble/Nook, Kobo, Google Play, and anywhere else that accepts ePub files. I am also familiar with Smashwords and can create both a Word doc and ePub file for their distribution channels. For the print edition, paperback or hardcover, I will create a PDF file that can be used by just about any print on demand site, such as Amazon KDP or IngramSpark/Lightening Source. I use Adobe InDesign to create a PDF file that will comply with all requirements from these sites.
