Screenwriter and Script Consultant

I'm a screenwriter, ghostwriter, script consultant, and screenplay editor. My consultations help screenwriters improve the dialogue, character development, plot, and pacing of their scripts. I can also guide those who are struggling to understand the often opaque formatting rules. I wrote and produced the indie features "Surviving Family" (starring Billy Magnussen and Phyllis Somerville) and "Detours" (starring Tara Westwood, Richard Kind, and Paul Sorvino). Both movies are available on Apple TV, The Roku Channel, TubiTV, Plex, Amazon Prime, Xumo, and Hoopla Digital. Surviving Family is also available on AppleTV. My recently completed screenplays include the thrillers Nine Deadly Sins and Rewilding Africa, both currently in development.

"Mara understood what was to be done from the get-go. She adhered to the deadline and was early in finishing her work. In all, her work was excellent - but would even had been better if she had sat on the script draft for a day, and then spent a couple of hours going over it again to apply more polish. That would have been easy to do within the deadline. However, the work was excellent, and I would recommend her."
