Data Scientist | GIS Developer | Web-scraping & Automation Expert

Do you want to build very powerful data science applications with stunning visualizations? I'm a passionate data scientist, web scraping and automation expert who can offer optimum solutions to all of the above stated problems. My day to day basis involves around data. Right from data mining / extraction and web scraping to data cleaning, data analysis and data manipulation all the way to data visualization is just a general picture of what I do. 🔸🔸🔸𝙃𝙀𝙍𝙀 𝙄𝙎 𝙒𝙃𝘼𝙏 𝙄 𝘾𝘼𝙉 𝘿𝙊 𝙁𝙊𝙍 𝙔𝙊𝙐 ✅ Web Scraping and Data Extraction - I'm a techie expert when it comes to anything that revolves around data. I tend to give web scraping a little more attention because my priority is to obtain the right data, with more accuracy and correctness. I can also build web scraping projects that updates data on a regular basis e.g. stock data that gets updated daily. The tools I use for this task include, BeautifulSoup, Selenium, Scrapy and Requests. ✅ Data Cleaning and Manipulation – sometimes data is messy and not well structured. I use Pandas and NumPy libraries to clean and manipulate data. ✅ Exploratory Data Analysis – this is usually an important step in the data science circle since it serves to provide useful insights about the data. The tools I use for this tasks include Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Scipy and Seaborn. ✅ Data Mining – using this technique, I'm able to extract vital information from a large dataset. Thus, I will be able to derive insights by carefully extracting, reviewing and processing huge data to find out patterns and correlations which is very useful to the businesses. I use Scipy for such tasks. ✅ Data visualization - a great analysis would be useless without it being visually presented to users. I harness the power of matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly-Dash, Bokeh, Google Data Studio etc. to come up with stunning visualization charts/plots/graphs or maps, as well as, amazing dashboards, that are able to easily communicate to the users. ✅ Machine Learning - I also build machine learning models that are very useful for the businesses. Models that can accurately predict stock prices, weather, real estate prices etc. Some of the tools I use include Scikit-learn, Pytorch, TensorFlow etc. ✅ Spatial Analysis and Remote Sensing – I'm an expert in spatial analysis with geopandas, network analysis, geocoding and geolocation, suitability analysis, least cost path analysis, route optimization, isochrones analysis, demographic analysis. I’m also well versed in satellite image extraction and processing, DEM creation and image classification. The tools I mostly use include: ArcGIS, QGIS, Grass GIS, Global Mapper, Google Earth pro, ENVI and ERDAS. 🔸🔸🔸 𝙎𝘼𝙈𝙋𝙇 𝙀 𝙒𝙀𝘽 𝙎𝘾𝙍𝘼𝙋𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙋𝙍𝙊𝙅𝙀𝘾𝙏𝙎 1. Scraping E-Commerce Products - in this project, I wanted to harness the power of web scraping to help me obtain the details of certain products. Details on prices, discounts, ratings, product features etc. I’m working on scaling it up so that it can be used by users to make a decision on which product they can opt to buy. 2. Scraping Movies' Website – I tasked myself to obtain movies from a movie website. Information on the movies, such as genre, movie title, year releases, ratings, trailer links, reviews etc. all of which also had an objective of informing a user which movies they should try. 3. Scraping Stock Market Sites – this was a project where I was helping a client to obtain market stock prices on some of the stocks: Bitcoin, Gold, S&P 500 etc. What makes this a unique project is that it automatically runs on a daily basis to extract the changing prices. This process is automated to be a recurring task. 🔸🔸🔸 𝙊𝙏𝙃𝙀𝙍 𝙋𝙍𝙊𝙅𝙀𝘾𝙏𝙎 𝙄 𝙃𝘼𝙑𝙀 𝘿𝙊𝙉𝙀 ✅ Modeling and simulating schools data and visualizing it. ✅ Developing a schools' visualization dashboard used for financial aid. ✅ Developing isochrones for schools to show all the areas accessible to schools. ✅ Developing a stock comparison chart for different stocks/assets. ✅ Building a planting calendar dashboard using Google Data Studio. ✅ Building a forest fire dashboard to help in fire analysis, analyzing trends and predicting occurrences of such phenomena. ✅ Developing GIS mapping applications and geo-processing tools. . 🔸🔸🔸 𝙒𝙝𝙮 𝙈𝙚? ✅ Attention to details. ✅ Sharp suggestions that help improve project success. ✅ Great commitment. ✅ Fast response and good communication. ✅ Self-driven. ✅ Reliability.
